Who we are

A young organisation with a clear purpose

Resilience Pathway was established in 2024 as a youth-led social enterprise in Malawi. We believe that resilience begins with the people — and that the most effective solutions come from within communities themselves, drawing on local knowledge, culture, and lived experience.

We are still growing. But our foundation is strong: a passionate team, meaningful work already underway, and a clear mission that guides everything we do. We are now focused on three priority areas where we believe we can make a real and lasting difference.

Current priorities

Our three focus areas

01
Climate & disaster education

Education & advocacy

Raising awareness and building knowledge in schools and communities on climate change and disaster preparedness.

  • Civic education and awareness campaigns through schools
  • Community engagement on disaster risk reduction
  • Seminars, trainings, and simulation exercises on disaster response
02
Food security

Climate-smart agriculture

Creating demonstration gardens that model sustainable, irrigation-based farming for food security and community livelihoods.

  • Establish community gardens with irrigation systems
  • Promote climate-smart agricultural practices
  • Support smallholder farmers with practical, hands-on knowledge
03
Environmental sustainability

Reforestation & nature-based solutions

Planting trees, restoring ecosystems, and integrating indigenous ecological knowledge into long-term environmental solutions.

  • Plant 10,000 trees across Malawi
  • Incorporate indigenous knowledge on sustainable land use
  • Research & data analysis on nature-based environmental solutions

Sustainability

Building a self-sustaining enterprise

We believe sustainable impact requires sustainable funding. As we grow, we are developing enterprise activities that generate revenue — allowing us to fund our programmes over the long term without depending solely on external donors.

This means designing initiatives that are commercially viable and socially meaningful — so our work creates lasting value for communities and supports the organisation's future.

Social enterprise model

Revenue-generating activities will directly support our three focus areas — education, food security, and environmental sustainability.

Research & data

We conduct and plan to expand research on environmental and nature-based solutions, building an evidence base for our work and for partners.

Youth-led innovation

Our team brings local knowledge and cross-disciplinary skills including GIS, drone technology, and community development.
